Hi everyone. Long time no see, hear from, but whatcha gonna do. Life has been a rollercoaster since graduation, but no moss on me, as was the usual. I never sat still 30 yrs ago and still don't, just takes a little longer to get places,ho, ho! Seriously people, how can this be, we are all either recently 50 or are becoming 50 soon, huh??? OH MY GOD!
Well, life has never been boring for me and I have loved looking at the profiles of those brave enough to fill them out. Come on everyone, we are all grown ups now, fill them out and send pictures too, espcially if you have children. I have no children, but that's ok too. We have had several pets and lost some too, boo hoo, miss those babies sooo much. Our current menagiree consist of 1 Siberian Husky(Tundra, red/white w/blue eyes, 8 yr old) and 2 cats: Sally & Zoey(S:Calico Simese/Amer Shorthair called an American Snowshoe, 4 yr old; Z: Tortise shell Maine Coon 3 yr old). I'll post pictures soon as I can.

After graduation we all went different ways, I went to work right away for my Dad and then in the fall of 1978 went to S.C. to school. When I came home for Christmas break, Steve Bowman and I met up, caught up, and became a couple again! We even got engaged before the school year was up that year, fate was against us however and we met others and went down different roads again. I met my true love & soulmate, Fred Young, nothing against you Steve(my first love) at WCCC in Taylor and the rest is history as they say. We've been a couple since 1979 and been married for 25 years this past October! Yeah us! Since then we have both gone forward with our educations downstate and then in 2000 moved up the the beautiful UP, Keweenaw Peninsula to be more exact. My husband Fred finished his Ph.D. at MTU this past year after many set backs and I completed my BFA in Fiberart at Finlandia University(2004) started the education at Henry Ford CC and acquired a BA in paralegal studies) up here in Hancock and part of my MAE at NMU in 2006. I will be completing my MAE in K-12 Art at Scholastica College in Duluth,MN beginning next month! This might interfere with attending the reunion, I truly hope not.

My husband and I have published a 16 page newletter before and since moving to the UP called The Watershed News when we chaired an environmental group called the Erie Watershed Group of the MI Sierra Club Chapter. This translated into the Northwoods Wildnerness Revovery and the EcoLit Reading Group. I belong to the Buellwood Weavers Guild and we host a Weavers Exchange every 2 yrs for the entire state of guilds. This is usually followed by a Beading Snyposium a few months later. Many of our pieces are exhibited and sold at these wonderful exchanges of craft people/artists. I write poetry/prose and read constantly and keep a journal daily/weekly depending on the time I have before drifting off to sleep finally each night. I collect thimbles, rocks, old glass jars, plates, etc. I paint, draw, dye, design fabric surfaces, weave, design clay buttons, ornamental peices for my weaving pieces, etc. I have books and books of designs I have done or intend to do as time and space allows. Once my web site is completed I'll let you all know where to see my artwork.
I noticed some things, many thing we have in common amoung the over 600 people. Example: my choosen area of concentration in my BFA was weaving(fiberarts) and I noticed spinning and weaving mentioned by I believe Marcia Boven. I also remember some profiles mentioned many of us have gone into education or education related fields as careers. I have substitute taught for 3 yrs now and when I finish the Master of Art in Education it will be to teach art K-12. I love teaching, but my passion, when I have time is my artwork, another common interest amoung several of us. I would love to have us all do some singing at the reunion and hear how we all have matured in our singing talents since 77. I really look forward to seeing you all once again. Everyone say Hi soon. Don't forget to vote dur
