Married my High School sweetheart, Beth Bitzane, 29 years ago this year. We have 9 children; Hope is the oldest at 27 years, all the way to Jared, our youngest at 5 years. Two children married (another coming up on March 15). Three grandchildren.
I've been working in the computer industry since 1978. First at Kmart Corp in Troy, then J.L. Hudson in downtown Detroit. In 1981, we moved to Plano, TX to work for Blue Cross of Texas. After working for JC Penney, Anderson Clayton Foods, UCCEL, Boole and Babbage, and a few others, I finally found a company to settle down with. I've been with Systemware, Inc since 1990. My title here is Senior Technical Analyst. I'm basically a software engineer, tasked with testing our offerings. If you want, we can talk geek when we get together, but that's enough for now.
I still play the trumpet occasionally and it sounds pretty good.
We're very active in church and raising children. We have 6 sons, so we've been very active in Boy Scouts. The 4 that are old enough are Eagle scouts. Seth just turned 8 and is now a Bob Cat in the Wolf den. I am the Webelos den leader (10 year old boys) and the Cub master for Pack 1910. I'm also the church Choir director.
Beth home-schools our children - 5 of the oldest 6 are in college, so she's winding down with just the youngest 3. She also teaches the Seminary class at church - High School scripture study before school every morning.
About 12 years ago, we moved from the big city to a small spread in the country. Some say we're in the middle of nowhere. It's not quite, but I think you can see it from here. Its 30 minutes to town and 2 hours to the office. Sometimes I'm able to telecommute, but lately, they've needed me in the office every day -- lots of think time on the drive.
Looking forward to seeing everyone. I'll post pictures soon.
